How MTE handles information

Privacy Policy

Document date: 30 September 2026

This policy describes the MTE WhatsApp service operated by Scarce Infotech Solutions. It covers information processed when a business connects its own WhatsApp Business Account, uses the service, or contacts us.

Information we process

We process account login identifiers, the business and phone-number identifiers authorized through Meta, connection settings, and authentication tokens needed to provide the integration. When you use messaging features, we process recipient phone numbers, message content, message templates, and delivery information. Webhook notifications can contain sender details, message content, delivery states, and business-account or template updates. We also process consent evidence, application access grants, message-operation identifiers and callback delivery records. We process information you include in support or deletion requests.

How we use information

We use this information to authenticate users, connect authorized WhatsApp assets, send requested messages, manage templates, receive notifications, troubleshoot the service, prevent misuse, and handle support and deletion requests. Business users are responsible for having the necessary permissions and consent to contact their recipients.

Meta and other service providers

MTE sends the information needed for your requested WhatsApp operations to Meta through the WhatsApp Business Platform. Meta processes information under its own applicable terms and privacy policies. When your business authorizes an application integration, MTE can provide that business’s conversation data and message events to the configured application through its API or signed notifications. Your business is responsible for the applications it authorizes. Infrastructure providers engaged to operate MTE may process data needed to host and secure the service. We do not sell personal information or use customer WhatsApp data to train AI models.

Access and security

Access to a business connection is restricted to its configured MTE account. WhatsApp access tokens, stored webhook records, conversation data, consent evidence and callback records are encrypted by the application. Application API keys are stored as hashes; callback signing secrets are kept in private server configuration. Production access must use HTTPS. No security method can guarantee absolute protection; contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.

Retention and deletion

Connection information is retained while it is needed to provide the service. Disconnecting within MTE removes the locally stored connection and token; it does not automatically delete previously received records or revoke access at Meta. Webhook, conversation, consent, message-operation and callback records in this release remain stored until the operator removes them. You can request deletion of MTE-held data using our data-deletion instructions. We may retain information required by law or needed to resolve disputes or security incidents, and will explain relevant exceptions when handling a request. Deletion from MTE does not delete a recipient’s WhatsApp messages or records held independently by Meta.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete information associated with your use of MTE. You can also manage MTE’s access in your Meta business settings. If a business contacted you through MTE, you may contact that business about its use of your information; we can help identify the appropriate next step for requests concerning data held by our service.
